'Runway 34' actress Rakul Preet Singh stunned in an ethnic outfit, as she turned showstopper for a designer at the ongoing Bombay Times Fashion Week,2022.
The beautiful actress flaunted a lovely ivory and gold lehenga with tulle detailing and colourful embroidery as she turned showstopper for designer Archana Kochchar on the second day of the fashion extravaganza. Archana's collection ‘Malwa Melange’ merged traditional handloom textiles with western cuts. The silhouettes made their way down the runway in shades like royal blue, princess pink, passionate purple and regal yellow and were accentuated with intricate sequins, leather details and mirror-work. Dazzling and decadent, this collection is sure to thrill the urban bride who likes to keep the classy with a contemporary twist!

Also spotted on the stage were singing duo Meet Bros, who serenaded everyone present along with popular blogger Prajakta Koli. Day 2 will be all the more sizzling with Gen Z fashionista Palak Tiwari sauntering down the ramp for Eshaa Amiiin. This will be Palak's first walk as a showstopper. The other celebrities walking the ramp on the second day will be Athiya Shetty, Vaani Kapoor and Shweta Salve among others.

Mumbai's biggest fashion extravaganza, the Bombay Times Fashion Week 2022 kickstarted on Thursday with a lovely display of redefined colours, bohemian silhouettes and a bag of fusion embroideries by none other than ace-designer, Vikram Phadnis on Thursday, who showcased his brilliant collection, as a curtain raiser for the BTFW 2022. What followed on Day 1, Friday was a beautiful mix of Indian embroideries, textiles, the much-loved sari and a heart-warming social cause.

Label Sanghmitra, stunned with her beautiful collection of handwoven saris by designer Sadhana Vyas. The show was stopped by none other than Femina Miss India 2020 Runner Up Manya Singh.

While Bollywood actor Amyra Dastur and television star Divyanka Tripathi added the right amount of glamour on the opening day, with their breathtaking show stopping acts, it was a show put up by Infiniti Mall that left everyone asking for more, and some tears in their eyes!

Infiniti Mall, a division of K Raheja Realty, in an attempt to contribute to the society, created an initiative called “Initiative to Inspire”, a foundation for specially-abled women entrepreneurs to showcase their skills and become a part of Atmanirbhar Bharat. And their show on Day 1 was a fine example of how they want to empower these women.

In a beautiful attempt, we witnessed women affected with Down Syndrome, Autism, Thalassemia and other disabilities - dazzle everyone and walk in beautiful clothes, showing everyone their beauty in their uniqueness.

With Bombay Times Fashion Week going to be bigger and better this season with a stellar lineup of designers and showstoppers adding pizzaz on the runway, watch out this space for more on the fashion fiesta.
