Saree Stories by Vidhi Singhania

Prominent Fashion Designer Vidhi Singhania will be exhibiting her exclusive collection Saree Stories at the Oberoi Trident Hotel this September 21st and 22nd, 2017.

The few yards of fabric have had a beautiful journey from being a daily wear to making a stunning statement at the red carpets. A garment that speaks tales without saying anything at all – each with a personality of its own, its own language telling their stories of history, heritage & culture.  Vidhi Singhania’s mesmerizing collection taps into the sanctity of this very feeling.

An undying passion for Indian textiles and a beautiful heart that beats for the betterment of her weavers, Vidhi Singhania is known for her aesthetic and dexterous detailing of the rich, textured weaves and her couture emanates classicism, grandeur & quality. For her, the concept of "Make in India" is not new - Over the last two decades, with over 800 Kota, Benaras & Chanderi weavers now working for her, her endeavour has been to keep the traditional art of weaving alive and to better the lives of the artisan families by keeping their looms busy throughout the year.

The fineness of her extraordinary Kota Doria khats suitable for any luncheon or board meeting, or one with that gold zari luster adding so much depth, together with her regal woven threads of Benaras that would make heads turn at any wedding ceremony, Treasured Textiles 2017 promises to be a tasteful and ethereal day spent.

The enduring Pushkar Mela and the Chetak collections make graceful weaves; the Kota Gharcholasthe Benarasi Sun and Moon collection, the guthwa flowers, the Kashmir Valley sarees synonymous to the luxurious shawl drape, all bring our legacy of timeless cultural heritage; and the ombre georgettes with gorgeous woven borders inspired by Indian Royalty make the perfect cocktail sarees. The stunning Applique Jaali with Block Prints and the intricate Half Silver - Half Gold real zari revival jaals, along with the immaculate warak printing and tissue embroideries, this Vidhi Singhania collection is destined for the wardrobe of the discerning connoisseur.

The compilation has been curated with hand woven and embroidered Kotas, Benares and Georgettes, the exquisite bridal ensembles, blouses and potlis. All products are skillfully handcrafted, where a traditional artisan skill is paramount, and they do everything to remain pioneers in handlooms, quality, innovation, and style.
