The actor's latest appearances have been in monotone outfits and she has been picking up summery tones like green and bright blue to spruce up her wardrobe. Her latest outfit was a figure-hugging blue dress, which she teamed with a dark blue trenchcoat and a pair of matching heels. She posed up a storm in this monotone ensemble and won fashion plaudits for her choice.

The 35-year-old's Holi outfit was also a part of the same trend. She picked mustard coloured sharara and kurti set with a matching dupatta from Sabyasachi. She looked bewitching as she accessorised her look with jhumkas and bangles in different styles.

For her third monotone outing, she gave us a lesson or two on how contrasting textures and variation in hues can be more exciting to look at while opting for a tone-on-tone look. Her faux leather pants from Dodobaror and a wrap-around cardigan from Jacquemus made her look summer-ready.

Tips to ace tone-on-tone

Mastering this trend is not a cakewalk as you need to be an expert to be able to match the right fabrics or pick different shades of the same family.

1. If you are not sure about different fabric options, wear a tone-on-tone of the same fabric. For example, you can wear your green satin dress with a green cape in the same fabric.
2. If your shoes are not of the same shade as that of your outfits, then it is safer to go for whites and blacks because other colours will completely change the trend and make it more colour-blocked and less monotone.
3. When you are trying tone-on-tone in bright shades make sure you keep the rest of the ensemble fuss-free.
