FT NEWS

Every year, there is something new in the fashion market that steals the show above other trends. Lately, people are going big on tie-dye outfits and how! Not just buying them from various brands, even learning to create their own DIY tie-dye outfits at home. 2020 sure has taught us all to do things ourselves and it shows. If you're someone who hasn't yet experimented with tie-dye outfits but would wish to, here are some tips on how to style them and look like a true fashionista!

Wear it with a pair of jeans

If you're just starting out with a tie-dye piece of clothing, buy a t-shirt or a top and pair it with your best-fitting jeans. There's nothing that can go wrong with a pair of jeans. It's minimal, classic and goes with all kinds of designs, colours, tops and t-shirt sizes. You can round it off with white sneakers to keep it simple.

A skirt look

Planning to wear a tie-dye skirt? You can easily top it with a basic white t-shirt to keep the look balanced. Tie-dye skirts look fantastic when you pair them with something minimal. Another way to wear a floor-length tie-dye skirt is by pairing it up with a solid colour singlet. You can either complete the look with heels or sneakers, choose wisely according to the need of the occasion.

Jumpsuits for the win

Experiment with a head-to-toe tie-dye look by investing in a jumpsuit. Since it's already all patterned with its unique design, you can add some minimal jewellery to finish the look. You can also add accessories like a jute bag, a hat or sunglasses to go with it.

Bottoms to experiment with

If you're someone who doesn't shy away from wearing colourful pants, you can get yourself a couple of tie-dye pants. Either the ones that are really soft in material and can be topped with a solid coloured tank-top. Or a nice-fitting pair of tie-dye pants that can be worn with a white crop top and layered with a moto-jacket. You can finish the look with black chunky boots.
